Assistant General Counsel

📋 Description

• Act as a true generalist across commercial, compliance, employment, and regulatory work.
• Build AI-enabled legal workflows across contracting, research, and compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements; improve contract operations.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, and People.
• Develop and drive compliance programs from scoping to execution.
• Support the CLO on high-stakes matters, including outside counsel and regulatory response.

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school; active license in any US jurisdiction; 4–9 years.
• Proven generalist; move between commercial, compliance, employment, and regulatory work.
• Legal ops experience and hands-on AI-enabled workflow building.
• Clear, direct communication with non-legal stakeholders; practical guidance.
• Self-directed, ownership-oriented; strong initiative and follow-through.
• Cross-functional collaboration with non-legal stakeholders.
