Assistant General Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide business-focused legal counsel on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and privacy matters.
• Oversee contracting, compliance initiatives, litigation, and labor and employment matters.
• Manage day-to-day legal operations, including workflows, matter and contract management, and outside counsel relations.
• Supervise staff counsel and legal operations, and coordinate outside counsel on litigation.
• Support corporate governance, entity management, and related filings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and strategic transactions.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris doctor degree required
• Valid bar admission, with eligibility for admission to Illinois, New York or Texas bar
• 8+ years of legal experience (8-10 years preferred)
• In-house legal experience preferred
• Experience providing legal support to a consulting firm or similar professional services business highly preferred
