Assistant General Counsel - HELOC

📋 Description

• Advise Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Ops on HELOC product strategy.
• Counsel on future products, incl. purchase-money mortgages.
• Interpret federal/state lending laws and mortgage regulations.
• Design compliant product features and processes with cross-functional teams.
• Lead legal support for new product initiatives and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with regulators and outside counsel on HELOC matters.

🎯 Requirements

• JD degree and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 10+ years experience advising financial services/fintech or mortgage lenders.
• Deep expertise in consumer financial services laws and mortgage regs (TILA/RESPA/FCRA/HMDA/UDAAP).
• Experience advising cross-functional product teams and launching regulated products.
