Assistant General Counsel, Servicing

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Servicing organization, providing day-to-day counsel on
• Lead compliance analysis and policy development involving Reg X/RESPA, Reg Z/TILA, FDCPA, UDAAP
• Draft, review, and maintain servicing procedures, loss mitigation policies, and collections
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with existing and new
• Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and advise stakeholders on implementation
• Review and negotiate vendor agreements and statements of work supporting collections and default

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience practicing law, with substantial experience in consumer loan servicing
• Significant experience ideally gained within an in-house consumer finance or mortgage
• Deep working knowledge of consumer servicing and debt collection laws, including FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA
• Demonstrated experience advising on loss mitigation structures, post-default strategies, and
• Strong understanding of FDCPA and TCPA requirements for collections communications, state
• Familiarity with AI governance and emerging regulations affecting the use of artificial
