Assistant Scientist- Aquatic Ecotoxicology

📋 Description

• Assist/run toxicology studies, including preparing test solutions and daily maintenance of test
• Feed, water, and examine animals for signs of illness, disease, or injury sustained in the
• Must be comfortable with handling live animals
• Collect and analyze biological data
• Performs analysis, first level, and peer review of data for accuracy and completeness
• Provide guidance to technicians on the proper conduct of study assignments

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering
• In rare cases, comparable demonstrated competence and experience in the relevant area may be used
