Assistant Vice President, Investment Accounting

📋 Description

• Manage daily investment accounting operations and month-end/quarter-end close processes.
• Lead integration of new investment portfolios into accounting platform and reporting.
• Oversee investment performance analysis: net investment income, gains/losses, yields.
• Coordinate quarterly/annual financial reporting, footnotes, MD&A, statutory exhibits.
• Oversee valuations, reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP/statutory controls.
• Lead, mentor, and develop investment accounting professionals; manage multiple projects.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or equivalent.
• Seven+ years accounting experience, three+ in investment accounting (insurance/reinsurance).
• Big Four accounting experience required.
• Experience with public-company SOX controls and investment financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and statutory investment accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with Clearwater platform (preferred).
