Associate, Consumer Class Action

📋 Description

• Investigate and evaluate potential consumer class claims, including false advertising, unfair
• Draft complaints, pre-litigation demand letters (including CLRA notices), and amended pleadings
• Research and draft motions and oppositions, including motions to dismiss, motions to compel
• Develop and manage discovery: written discovery, ESI and large document productions
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions, including corporate (PMQ/30(b)(6)) witnesses
• Work with experts on damages models, consumer surveys, and technical issues

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active California State Bar license in good standing
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience, including meaningful exposure to class action or complex
• Excellent legal research and writing skills — you can produce a persuasive, well-organized brief
• Working knowledge of California consumer statutes such as the UCL (Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200)
• Familiarity with class procedure under FRCP 23 and Cal. Code Civ. Proc. § 382
