Associate Counsel, Innovation and Thought Leadership

📋 Description

• Guide open source licensing and compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Brand on policies.
• Advise on open source governance topics, incl. AI overlap.
• Negotiate university research and data agreements (IP rights).
• Review publications and external content for IP and confidentiality.
• Draft and review IP licensing terms in intercompany agreements.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years as an attorney (firm, government, or in-house).
• Experience in technology transactions and advising technical teams.
• Working knowledge of copyright, trademark, and patent fundamentals.
• Experience drafting and negotiating IP and licensing provisions.
• Grounding in open source licensing and compliance.
• Familiarity with AI licensing, esp. open source.
