Associate Director, Information Design; Deputy Competency Manager

📋 Description

• Directly manage assigned employees within the competency.
• Coach, develop, and assess performance; drive employee experience.
• Partner with the Competency Manager on initiatives, recruiting, and planning.
• Act as an accomplished Information Design practitioner; mentor designers.
• Maintain competency standards, growth, and client guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Information Design, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in graphic design, information design, or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• People management—coaching, performance reviews, and development.
• Experience recruiting, onboarding, and building high-performing teams.
• Strong expertise in information design, visual storytelling, and accessibility.
