Associate General Counsel

📋 Description

• The Associate General Counsel will oversee legal strategy and compliance for consumer finance
• Serve as the primary legal advisor for the complete homeowner origination lifecycle, including
• Provide guidance on federal and state regulations impacting consumer finance and home equity
• Manage consumer finance compliance matters, including UDAAP, fair lending requirements, and other
• Review and approve product materials, marketing campaigns, and customer-facing communications to
• Draft, negotiate, and manage vendor, title, escrow, and transaction-support agreements.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of legal experience, ideally combining law firm, regulatory, and/or in-house experience
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required, with active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
• Strong understanding of consumer finance products, residential mortgage-related products, and
• Knowledge of consumer protection requirements, including UDAAP and fair lending principles.
• Experience advising on privacy and data security compliance, including GLBA and CCPA, preferred.
• Experience drafting and negotiating vendor, title, escrow, or other operational agreements.
