Associate General Counsel, Commercial

📋 Description

• Serve as a primary legal partner to revenue and growth leadership, advising on deal strategy
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage agreements with state and local government customers and with
• Act as a deal desk for complex or high-value transactions, coordinating cross-functional teams to
• Provide legal guidance on procurement laws, contract terms, and regulatory considerations.
• Advise business teams on commercial, compliance, employment, and general legal matters while
• Manage a broad portfolio of legal matters and develop standardized contract processes and templates.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. degree required.
• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state required.
• 12+ years of commercial contracting experience, including with state/local government.
• In-house or vendor-side commercial legal experience beyond representation of government entities.
• Strong knowledge of state/local government contracting laws and procurement requirements.
• Experience drafting/negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and vendor agreements.
