Associate Laboratory Director

📋 Description

• Review, approve, and sign-out clinical molecular/cytogenetic/oncologic reports (NIPT).
• Oversee interpretation of NGS and CNV data using literature and databases.
• Provide clinical and technical support for genetic counselors and lab staff.
• Set standards for testing and analytic performance; ensure compliance.
• Analyze lab data and contribute to publications in scientific journals.
• May serve as Technical Supervisor, ensuring method verification and QA.

🎯 Requirements

• MD/DO and/or PhD in genetics or related field.
• CA license/eligibility as Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist.
• ABMGG board-certified/eligible in Clinical Cytogenetics and/or Molecular Genetics.
• NYS Certificate of Qualification in Genetic Testing preferred.
• 2+ years in a CLIA-certified clinical lab interpreting genetic data.
• Management experience required.
