Associate Linux Support Engineer

📋 Description

• Provide technical support from a remote home office across Linux, cloud, desktop, server, and IoT
• Own support cases from initial qualification through resolution or escalation
• Maintain clear, timely communication with customers, setting accurate expectations
• Meet service-level commitments and maintain high customer satisfaction
• Troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs, stack traces, system configurations, and diagnostic
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Strong academic performance and a technical undergraduate degree (e.g., Computer Science, MIS
• Practical experience troubleshooting Linux systems (logs, stack traces, configs)
• Knowledge or hands-on experience in at least two areas: Linux server administration, networking
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language: Bash, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, C, C++, or Go
• Understanding of networking concepts: bonding, firewalling, bridging, switching, network file
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud concepts: provisioning, monitoring, orchestration
