Associate Scientist, R&D

📋 Description

• Plan, design, execute, and report assay development under design controls.
• Prepare and characterize contrived clinical samples (whole blood, plasma, cfDNA).
• Write study plans, execution protocols, reports, and SOPs.
• Process specimens with LIMS and database queries for tracking.
• Conduct independent experiments, including reagent prep and QC for NGS.
• Maintain notebooks, document results, and present findings.

🎯 Requirements

• Education & Experience: B.S. 2–5 yrs; M.S. 2+ yrs; Ph.D. 0–2 yrs in relevant field.
• Industrial experience with NGS-based assays.
• Hands-on nucleic acid techniques: extraction, PCR, library prep, hybrid capture.
• Experience with high-throughput sample processing and automated liquid handling in CLIA labs.
• DOE and basic statistics for experimental data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
