Associate Scientist R&D

📋 Description

• Design experimental plans and execute lab experiments (extractions, library prep, capture, sequencing).
• Collaborate with project teams to design, develop, and validate assays for launch.
• Contribute insights on findings and troubleshoot lab processes.
• Perform basic data analysis.
• Discuss results with a multidisciplinary team.
• Document protocols, SOPs, and reports under a Quality Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field with 4-6 years in assay development.
• Master’s in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field with 2+ years of industry experience.
• NGS and DNA/RNA biology expertise (extractions, library prep, hybrid capture, qPCR, multiplex PCR).
• Data analysis with R, JMP, or Excel.
• Independent scientific judgment in experimental design and analysis.
• Experience optimizing lab methods and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management.
• Manual pipetting for high-throughput sample testing.
