AthenaHealth Integration Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain custom integrations and extensions on the athenaOne platform using
• Own the full API development lifecycle for athenaOne integrations, including sandbox testing, OAuth
• Evaluate and prototype AI and agentic tooling within the athenahealth ecosystem—including
• Monitor athenahealth API changelogs and release notes, evaluate new endpoints and capabilities as
• Work directly with athenahealth's developer support and partner teams to resolve API issues
• Design, build, and maintain bidirectional integrations between athenaClinicals and Salesforce

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience working with athenahealth products, with the majority in hands-on API
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining custom integrations using
• Proficiency with at least one modern programming or scripting language such as Python
• Working knowledge of HL7 v2 and FHIR R4 data standards
• Working familiarity with athenaClinicals configuration and administration, including user and
