Audio Data Quality Specialist - JT AI Labs (M/F/D)

📋 Description

• Review audio recordings by ear and with tools, checking for noise, echo, clipping, distortion
• Verify that recordings meet project specifications: duration, speaker profile, language/accent
• Review applicants' audio samples in review console to help decide acceptance; monitor speaker
• Write and maintain QC guidelines, rejection reasons, and issue taxonomy; turn into recording
• Run and extend QC scripts on session exports; work with data engineer to automate checks and tune
• Design and run human sample review to complement automated QC; calibrate reviewers and measure

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Phonetics or Linguistics, Data Science, or
• 2+ years of experience in audio quality control, speech data QA, transcription/annotation QA, or
• Trained ear to hear subtle audio problems (noise, artifacts, clipping, echo, etc.)
• Understanding of digital audio basics: sample rates, bit depth, codecs, lossless/lossy formats
• Comfortable with audio tools such as Audacity, Praat, iZotope RX, or a DAW; able to read waveforms
• Ability to write/adapt small scripts in Python or Bash (e.g., ffmpeg, sox, soundfile, pandas) to
