Automated Welding Technician (Starship)

📋 Description

• Operate and utilize advanced manufacturing equipment such as robots, welders, and software.
• Set up and calibrate machinery from blueprints, CAD models, and specs for micron-level accuracy.
• Loading raw materials such as steel coils or gores and unloading finished sections.
• Conduct in-process inspections with calipers, laser scanners, and NDT methods.
• Prepare barrel sections for welding and assembly: cleaning, grinding, beveling, deburring.
• Collaborate with engineers, welders, and assembly teams to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years in hardware assembly/test/maintenance or cert in welding, A&P, manufacturing, or electronics.
• Technical certification in machining, fabrication, or welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
• Experience operating fabrication machinery in manufacturing; aerospace, automotive, or heavy industry preferred.
• Proficiency with CNC programming (G-code), CAD/CAM, and quality management software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with metalworking knowledge (rolling, bending, stamping, heat treatment) for aerospace materials.
