Automation Engineer (Contractor)

📋 Description

• Program, modify, test, and operate liquid handling methods.
• Prepare labware and reagents; monitor automated runs.
• Document deviations; support recovery from workflow interruptions.
• Operate integrated automation systems and scheduling software.
• Maintain SOPs and maintenance records; train users.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with automated liquid handling systems.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting automated liquid handlers.
• Basic programming/scripting in Python, C#, or similar.
• Experience maintaining or servicing laboratory instruments.
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques (PCR, gel electrophoresis, HPLC).
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, labware, reagents, and SOPs.
• Ability to document issues, maintenance, and deviations clearly.
