Autonomous Vehicle Operator, Houston (PM Shift, 12-Month Duration)

📋 Description

• Operate a vehicle in manual and autonomous mode up to 8 hours per day in diverse traffic conditions
• Use proprietary software to collect data in real-world scenarios and provide feedback to engineers
• Troubleshoot issues in real time and collaborate with Mission Operations to meet mileage targets
• Conduct daily vehicle inspection checks before and after missions
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks (e.g., washing, tire inflation)
• Interact with the public to educate them on autonomous vehicle technologies and behave as a company

🎯 Requirements

• 5 days per week on a fixed shift: Afternoon/Evening 4:00pm-12:30am CT (Fri - Tues)
• Current Texas driver’s license (3+ years US license)
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug test
• Strong communication skills and ability to use online collaboration tools
• Comfort operating field equipment (laptops, tablets, smartphones) for documentation and workflow
• Problem-solving under pressure and ability to work independently or in small groups
