AV Hardware Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the engineering design, development, and release of autonomous hardware
• Lead specification and integration with vehicle partners
• Develop and execute sensing and electronics architecture
• Benchmark performance, integration, and reliability of electronics technologies
• Identify key suppliers and bring ideas from concept to production readiness
• Manage designed parts and assemblies through validation to production readiness

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design with electro-mechanical hardware
• Experience across production pipeline from prototypes to mass production
• Experience with manufacturing processes: rapid prototyping, sheet metal, injection molding
• Experience designing for a wide range of materials using FEA and hand calculations
• Experience working with reliability teams to create/execute test plans
• Experience working with fabrication and module vendors
