Backend Architect - Golang

📋 Description

• Define and evolve backend architecture serving connections from millions of users
• Design and build highly available distributed services in Golang.
• Set technical direction on scalability, reliability, and performance targets
• Lead code reviews and promote testing discipline and clean architecture
• Partner with the SDK team to integrate client features into backend systems
• Mentor engineers and grow the team's technical depth with security, infra, and product partners
• Drive the team to meet performance targets and ship reliable products that protect users at scale

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years backend engineering and architecture experience, 5+ years in Golang
• Proven track record designing distributed systems at scale; strong networking (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP)
• Hands-on VPN protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec), tunneling, NAT traversal, low-latency networking
• Production experience on AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, Aurora/RDS) with Docker, Kubernetes and Linux
• Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals, threat modeling, secure coding, and API design
• Bonus: Master's degree in CS or related field
• Bonus: Python/Java, NoSQL, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
