Backend Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain APIs and services; debug production issues.
• Collaborate with Business, Product and Data Science to scale solutions.
• Design, Develop, Implement and Deploy enterprise-grade web platforms.
• Create scalable tech infra and improve system architecture.
• Own end-to-end real-time data handling: ingestion, normalization, ML risk/ETA.
• Build features used by customers; harden internal tooling; alerting.
• Make architecture trade-offs explicit and defensible.
• Instrument builds; measure bottlenecks; plan for 10x growth.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Electrical Eng.
• Min 4+ years designing, developing and releasing production systems.
• Built or Architected at Scale: startup-from-scratch or FAANG-level.
• First Principles Thinker: explain constraints and trade-offs.
• Curious by Default: dig deep into the why.
• System Architecture: scalable backend with multiple data sources.
• Tech Stack: Python, Flask; AWS; RESTful APIs; Docker; Git; Elasticsearch; Spark; CI/CD.
• Team Player & Empathetic Communicator in diverse teams.
