Backend Engineer, Credit Decisions

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end problems across multiple systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, data scientists, and PMs.
• Uphold high engineering standards and unify codebases.
• Build elegant APIs and merchant experiences to scale.
• Contribute to design and architecture of Stripe infrastructure.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to power financial decisioning.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field plus 6 years software dev.
• 6 years across the stack; proficient in two of Java, Ruby, Scala, Python, SQL.
• Experience with Spark, IDEs, and AWS.
• Develop user-facing experiences and queries for analyzing experiments.
• Distributed computing or large-scale distributed systems.
• Cloud services including gRPC, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS.
