Backend Engineer, Data Ingestion

📋 Description

• Build projects from design to launch, on established products and new ones.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers and other engineers to execute the build and how.
• Contribute to technical discussions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architecture.
• Uphold strong engineering practices: code review, test coverage and observability.
• Build and operate high-throughput backend services and the queues and storage behind them.
• Improve the performance and reliability of services, database queries, endpoints and caching across

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years building experience building backend applications
• Product-minded. You care about the user problem as much as the code
• Comfortable with unclear problems and fast change
• Strong Python or Go experience, or experience in another backend language and willingness to work
• Familiar with queues, object storage, and relational or time-series databases
• Has debugged a production problem from metrics and logs
