Backend Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and services at scale.
• Own architecture of distributed systems behind high-volume, low-latency APIs.
• Solve scalability, latency, and performance problems in production; trace issues and ship fixes.
• Lead system design discussions and shape backend direction.
• Set best practices for throughput, reliability, and latency.
• Validate performance via automated testing, benchmarking, and production-driven improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• BS/BA in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining core backend components.
• Solve complex design, scalability, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput systems.
• Production experience with Java and Rust; AWS cloud-native; EKS a plus.
• Comfortable across the stack and willing to dive into infra when needed.
