Batch & Furnace Manager

📋 Description

• Manage furnace and batch house operations, including environmental controls and maintenance
• Manage department labor, equipment, maintenance, and expense budgets
• Work in partnership with Production and Quality Managers to produce glass containers while
• Supervise salary and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of plant batch and furnace operation
• Manage incoming raw materials and glass formulas

🎯 Requirements

• Glass furnace operation and large-scale glass melting operations experience REQUIRED
• Experience supervising employees, planning work schedules, directing assignments
• Ability to plan and coordinate all preventive maintenance activities
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic, Chemical, Materials Science or related Engineering field preferred
