Battery Engineer II

📋 Description

• Develop, execute, and document battery pack, system, and component test plans.
• Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to translate requirements into battery architectures.
• Support regulatory certification activities (UL/CE/IEC) and safety audits.
• Manage testing and review supplier test reports for new projects.
• Evaluate Li-ion batteries across designs to assess performance and safety.
• Travel to supplier sites for line audits and design reviews (up to 15%).

🎯 Requirements

• BS in battery systems with 2+ years or MS with 1+ year.
• Experience in Li-ion battery development and testing.
• Strong understanding of Li-ion cell design, chemistry, safety, and lab tools.
• Experience writing technical reports and documenting test plans.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional battery topics.
• Understanding of tolerance analysis, GD&T, and measurement methods.
• Familiarity with Python or similar tools for data analysis and automation.
• Awareness of emerging battery technologies and market trends.
• Strong commitment to leveraging AI tools in daily work.
