Battery Engineering Technician

📋 Description

• Build and validate battery prototypes from cell to pack; rework parts as needed.
• Set up electrical, thermal, and TR tests; install sensors/thermocouples.
• Operate lab equipment: cyclers, power supplies, welders, hi-pot testers, DMMs, scopes.
• Build test fixtures, jigs, enclosures, and harnesses for test stands.
• Document build processes, test data, travelers, and inspection results with traceability.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab; collaborate with Engineering and Quality.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on battery cells/modules/packs in engineering/manufacturing.
• Proficient with electronics test equipment: cyclers, hi-pot testers, DMMs, oscilloscopes.
• Mechanical aptitude; build fixtures, jigs, enclosures; hand/power tools.
• Familiarity with welding (laser/ultrasonic/spot) and basic machine shop.
• DO-160G/DO-311A or UN 38.3 certification testing familiarity.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
