Billing & Invoicing Technology Specialist

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end invoicing compliance across global markets.
• Configure and maintain tax rules in billing platforms for accurate invoices.
• Collaborate with product/engineering/finance to build scalable invoice templates.
• Lead testing and validation for invoice changes, upgrades, launches.
• Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies; escalate as needed.
• Develop library of invoice scenarios and exception-handling docs.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in tax tech or billing ops focused on invoicing.
• Hands-on with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara or equivalents) in billing systems.
• Solid understanding of indirect tax rules (sales/use tax, VAT) for invoices.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams on invoicing automation projects.
• Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel, SQL.
