Bookkeeper (Founding Member)

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end bookkeeping for pilot restaurant clients
• Serve as Toast's in-house restaurant accounting expert (COGS, prime cost, tips)
• Translate client workflows into product requirements shaping roadmap
• Design SOPs, controls, and QA processes for reliability
• Work with restaurant operators to understand their business and set expectations
• Help define future hiring, tooling, and automation boundaries

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years bookkeeping, with restaurant clients
• Deep knowledge: COGS, prime cost, tip reporting, multi-location consolidation
• Reconcile high-volume POS data
• Proficient with modern bookkeeping software; open to AI tools (Claude, GPT, Gemini)
• Entrepreneurial track record: built client base or process
• Comfortable with ambiguity; strong communication and detail orientation
