Build Engineer, COPVS (Starship)

📋 Description

• Work with vehicle analysts to meet design and manufacturing needs
• Develop production procedures; transition parts to high-rate production
• Plan and execute development, qualification, testing of systems/tools
• Create CAD models and prints for flight tooling components
• Lead on-site design engineering for efficient builds
• Create and maintain build schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace eng; 1+ years in manufacturing
• Master’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing/aerospace/materials/industrial eng
• Experience with large mechanical assemblies
• Composite manufacturing: resin curing, cylinder cleaning, inspection
• Metallic manufacturing: welding, forming, fastening, drilling, bonding, automation
• 3D CAD; DFMA; R&D to high-volume; ITAR eligibility
