Business Systems Analyst, Prior Authorization Technology

📋 Description

• Serve as liaison between Prior Authorization operations, engineering, and cross-functional partners.
• Gather, clarify, and document business requirements for system changes and automation opportunities.
• Partner with PA leaders and SMEs to understand workflows, pain points, and future needs.
• Translate operational needs into actionable requirements for technical teams and translate updates back to operations.
• Create process maps, flow diagrams, and decision trees to document current and future-state workflows.
• Assess requests for necessity, scalability, and sustainability of proposed solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience in Prior Authorization or related healthcare operations.
• Strong understanding of PA workflows in healthcare revenue cycle.
• Ability to translate operational needs into clear technical requirements.
• Strong process mapping and visual diagramming skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/workflow platforms.
