Buyer (Electronics & Comms)

📋 Description

• Review and release planned orders from ERP/MRP for PCBs, PCBAs, electronic components and related
• Secure order confirmations and manage confirmed dates against need dates
• Monitor open orders and shortages, flag risks to builds early
• Work with engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues and shortages
• Coordinate material for EMS partners
• Place spot buys through approved distributors

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years as an operational buyer, purchaser or material planner in electronics manufacturing, EMS
• Hands-on experience buying PCBs, PCBAs and electronic components
• Daily use of an ERP/MRP system
• Experience expediting and resolving shortages with distributors and manufacturers
• Able to read a BOM
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
