Camera Test Engineer II

📋 Description

• Translate camera requirements into test procedures; develop Python automation scripts.
• Test VSWIR and IR cameras; measure dark current, QE, NEDT.
• Design, build, and maintain EGSE/OGSE; integrate test sources such as blackbodies.
• Lead camera-level testing with ESS, TVAC, radiation, and vibration campaigns.
• Post-process test data; identify anomalies and support root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Camera Systems Engineers and Optical Test Engineers to verify the subsystem.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in detectors/imaging or IR remote sensing; MS with 3+ yrs; BS with 5+ yrs.
• Strong Python for instrument automation, hardware interfacing, and data analysis (NumPy, SciPy).
• Experience with precision electrical and optical metrology test hardware.
• Experience with statistical data analysis, post-processing, and test reports.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Nice-to-have: CAD (SolidWorks) for fixtures; TVAC ovens; cleanroom experience. Thrives in a fast-paced environment with new weekly challenges.
