Chemical Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead engineer for launch pad fluid systems (compressible, incompressible, cryogenic)
• Design, build, troubleshoot, and operate pad fluid systems with technicians
• Apply heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to diagnose issues
• Develop automation improvements for the fluid systems
• Lead design, construction, and activation of the pad during programs
• Present certification data to NASA, US Space Force, and others

🎯 Requirements

• BS in mechanical, aerospace, chemical engineering, physics, or related field
• 1+ years experience with fluid, mechanical, or low-voltage electrical systems
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX CAD software
• Python or other programming for data review/analysis
• Familiarity with hazardous systems (high pressure, hazardous gases/fluids)
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, BPV VIII, AFSPCMAN 91-710
