Chemistry Principal Scientist

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority for food chemistry methods and analytical interpretation.
• Provide scientific leadership and guidance to laboratory staff.
• Support complex troubleshooting of analytical and instrumentation issues.
• Support optimisation and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.
• Deliver technical training and competency assessments.
• Support development of the laboratory skills matrix.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Food Chemistry or Science with significant Chemistry component.
• Significant experience in an ISO17025/UKAS accredited laboratory.
• Experience with analytical techniques: chromatography, wet chemistry, immunoassay.
• Knowledge of GC, HPLC, IC or other relevant analytical techniques.
• Strong IT proficiency with laboratory systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
