📋 Description

• Own day-to-day banking ops (payments, accounts, reconciliation, card programmes) within risk appetite.
• Manage relationships with payment channels, banks, BIN sponsors, card schemes, and providers.
• Serve as second primary contact with the Central Bank of The Bahamas on material operational matters.
• Ensure ops comply with AML/CFT controls, exchange rules, BTCRA, and CBOB guidelines.
• Escalate material operational or regulatory issues to CEO and Board promptly.
• Design and improve procedures, controls, and workflows with the CRO and MLRO; ensure regulatory alignment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in finance, business administration, economics, banking, or related field; postgraduate qualification or professional certification advantageous.
• 7–10 years in banking or financial services, including at least 5 years in a senior operational management role at a licensed bank or regulated financial institution.
• Hands-on experience across payments processing (SWIFT, SEPA, or equivalent), client account lifecycle management, correspondent banking, and card programme or payment channel operations.
• Sound knowledge of Bahamian banking regulation including BTCRA and CBOB guidelines, or equivalent regulatory framework in a comparable jurisdiction.
• Understanding AML/CFT obligations applicable to banks, including transaction monitoring, Non-Resident exchange control requirements, and CBOB regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with core banking and payment systems; experience with digital or cloud-based core banking platforms is an advantage.
