Claim Specialist II or III (Florida WC)

📋 Description

• Investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and resolves workers’ comp claims.
• Operates within authority limits; supervisor sets max.
• Handles larger caseload with less supervision as experience grows.
• Communicates with insureds, injured workers, agents, attorneys, and underwriters.
• Administers timely indemnity and medical benefits.
• Develops litigation plan with defense counsel and tracks progress.

🎯 Requirements

• Three years of workers’ comp lost time and medical claim handling experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Computer skills, Word, Excel and ImageRight preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Adaptable and self-directed with strong time management.
