Cloud FinOps Analyst

📋 Description

• Manage and optimize cloud expenses for AWS, Snowflake, and OpenAI/Anthropic usage.
• Build cost models tracking spend across apps, tokens, and model types.
• Audit Snowflake usage to optimize warehouses, auto-suspend, and storage.
• Monitor AWS usage and optimize with Savings Plans and Reserved Instances.
• Develop real-time anomaly detection and spend-spike alerts.
• Create QuickSight dashboards to communicate expense trends.
• Collaborate with engineering and finance to align budgets with roadmaps.

🎯 Requirements

• 6–7+ years in cloud financial management or engineering operations.
• Snowflake credits and pricing metrics knowledge (tokens, context windows).
• AWS core services, pricing models, and native cost tools.
• Data analysis: SQL and Python to extract cloud billing data.
• Data visualization: dashboards in QuickSight or equivalents.
• FinOps practices: applying FinOps to cloud and software services.
• Financial modeling: budgeting, forecasting, variance, and ROI.
