Coal Technician - Bowen Basin Onsite Laboratories

📋 Description

• Collect, prepare, analyze, store, and report coal samples in accordance with approved procedures
• Ensure accuracy, precision, and traceability of all sample preparation and testing activities.
• Assist with preventative maintenance of laboratory and sample preparation equipment.
• Plan shift workflows and coordinate sample collection and analysis activities.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with incoming and outgoing shifts.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.

🎯 Requirements

• Coal sampling, preparation and testing experience preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience in a mineral, coal or laboratory environment highly regarded.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
