Commercial Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise stakeholders on legal issues and concepts.
• Lead end-to-end negotiations of MSAs with banks and financial institutions.
• Own negotiations with data and content providers, including licensing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Security, and Ops to structure business-aligned agreements.
• Implement contracting infrastructure; design templates, playbooks, and workflows.
• Partner with Head of Legal on high-impact strategic initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• JD from a top law school with 3–6 years in tech/IP or emerging companies.
• Experience owning and closing commercial agreements; knowledge of IP licensing, privacy, data-use and AI.
• Experience implementing legal tech tools; building scalable systems.
• Genuine interest in new technologies, software and finance.
• Sound commercial judgment and comfort making decisions in a fast-moving start-up environment.
