Commercial Mechanical Estimator - HVAC

📋 Description

• Review bid packages to identify scope gaps and risks.
• Perform HVAC quantity takeoffs: ductwork, piping, equipment.
• Interpret drawings, schedules, addenda, and specs.
• Source vendor/subcontractor quotes for equipment/materials.
• Apply labor units per SMACNA/MCAA standards for estimates.
• Collaborate with PM/engineering for estimating accuracy.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years in commercial HVAC or mechanical estimating.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and bid docs.
• Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and cost risks.
• Excel proficiency; familiarity with estimating tools: FastEST, FastDUCT, FastPIPE.
• Familiar with QuoteSoft, Trimble Autobid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam.
• Strong HVAC knowledge: AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers, ductwork, controls.
