📋 Description

• Cover congressional committee markups and legislative actions on House and Senate floors.
• Write spot news stories and occasional longer-form enterprise.
• Gavel-to-gavel coverage of committee actions; on-site at the U.S. Capitol.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field and/or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of reporting within an editorial team or congressional experience.
• Strong interest in policy, politics and/or procedure.
• Extensive research, interviewing and writing skills.
• Ability to write objectively about legislative proposals.
• Experience using social media to promote content.
