Communities One-Year Reporter Journalism Internships (Temp Full-time)

📋 Description

• Work with editors to produce original community journalism.
• Attend events and interview in person for local coverage.
• Participate in training to develop reporting and research skills.
• Attend virtual and in-person team meetings; contribute to planning.
• Translate complex information into clear, reader-friendly stories.
• Monitor social media to spot breaking/local stories.

🎯 Requirements

• Current or graduating post-secondary student eligible to work in Ontario.
• Internship runs Sept 2026–Aug 2027.
• Able to work full-time, including weekends/evenings/holidays.
• Access to reliable personal transportation.
• Represented by Unifor Local 87-M.
• No volunteers/short-term placements/co-ops.
