Community Ambassador (Temp)

📋 Description

• Engage with residents, businesses, landlords, visitors, and SRO facilities in Tenderloin with empathy.
• Refer residents and others to shelters, food programs, and events.
• Offer directions and guidance to those seeking assistance.
• Monitor street activity and coordinate with authorities and GLIDE programs.
• Assist in cleaning and maintenance to improve public spaces.
• Administer first aid including CPR and Narcan following protocols.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: At least 2 years in community outreach or related fields.
• Tenderloin familiarity: Comfortable walking in Tenderloin or urban areas.
• Communication: Strong verbal skills with diverse populations.
• De-escalation: Experience calming agitated individuals.
• Tact and diplomacy: Handle sensitive situations calmly.
• CPR/First Aid and Narcan: Certified or willing to train; Driver's license preferred.
