Compiler Performance Engineer

📋 Description

• Analyze Java benchmarks and customer workloads to identify performance gaps in generated machine
• Implement and refine compiler optimizations across the middle end and back end, including inlining
• Investigate how compiler optimizations interact with runtime behavior and identify opportunities to
• Improve machine code generation for x86_64 and AArch64 processor architectures.
• Evaluate optimization strategies and assess their impact on runtime performance, code quality, and
• Develop and maintain tests and benchmarks that demonstrate performance improvements and protect

🎯 Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in compiler development, JIT compilers, or low-level
• Strong C++ programming and software design skills, including the ability to work effectively with
• Solid understanding of compiler optimization theory, including Static Single Assignment (SSA), data
• Ability to read and interpret assembly code and explain why particular instruction sequences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate performance
• Ability to develop reliable tests and benchmarks to validate optimizations and ensure performance
