Compliance Engineer

📋 Description

• Translate regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, BSA, FinCEN, OFAC) into specs.
• Partner with product/engineering to design, build, and maintain compliance systems.
• Review implementations for regulatory gaps and drive remediation.
• Develop compliance analytics and data quality controls.
• Serve as technical SME during regulatory exams, audits, and third-party assessments.
• Stay current on evolving US and international regulations and surface changes to engineering.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years in compliance engineering or fintech compliance.
• Working knowledge of US regs: BSA, AML, KYC, OFAC, FinCEN.
• Hands-on with transaction monitoring, identity verification, or watchlist tools.
• Ability to read and discuss code (Python, SQL, or similar).
• Experience turning regulatory language into technical requirements.
• Strong written communication for engineers and regulators.
• Experience using SQL, data analytics, and reconciliation for compliance.
