Compliance Officer

📋 Description

• Own and deliver compliance monitoring – identify risks, assess customer impact, and drive remediation
• Provide clear, actionable reporting for senior management and the Board
• Stay ahead of regulation – track FCA developments and translate into actionable steps
• Maintain and strengthen our control environment – review and improve policies and frameworks
• Partner across the business – build strong relationships and act as a trusted compliance advisor
• Support customer outcomes – escalation point for complex cases (e.g. complaints, fraud risk)

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years in retail financial services, compliance, first line controls, or operational role with customer focus
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset – you don’t just identify issues, you help fix them
• Working knowledge of FCA Handbook requirements
• Practical understanding of Consumer Duty and good customer outcomes
• Strong judgement and risk assessment skills
• Clear, confident communicator – comfortable engaging up to executive level
