Compositing Supervisor

📋 Description

• Collaborate with VFX Supervisor to assign 2D work and manage workload.
• Assign shots to 2D artists; coordinate with Production on deadlines.
• Oversee 2D tasks: tracking, mattes, layering, and color grading.
• Provide actionable feedback to artists and troubleshoot issues.
• Source elements from the studio library and obtain needed assets.
• Coordinate with CGI, Roto, and Matte Painting teams for integration.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Nuke and other compositing tools.
• Thorough color pipeline knowledge from camera to master (LUTs, DI).
• Detail-focused with strong visual communication to the team.
• Creative and technical solutions for shot production challenges.
• Experience in project management and artist oversight.
• Strong technical leadership; able to mentor a team.
• Understanding of color theory, keying, rotoscoping, tracking.
• On-set supervision experience is helpful but not required.
